WAYWAYSEECAPPO, MB - After a 7-3 loss in their home opener the Dauphin Kings responded hard in Waywayseecappo Saturday night, beating the Wolverines 7-0.

Dauphin started with just one goal in the opening period. It came off the stick of Noah Wagner (1). After the goal shenanigans ensued and would set the tone for the rest of the evening.

In the second period Austin Lamotte (1) and Grady Hobbs (2) got in on the action to give Dauphin a 3-0 lead. The Kings controlled most of the middle frame.

The third period was all Kings as the Wolverines fell apart. Dauphin got goals from Lamotte (2), Koby Morrisseau (2) ripped a dart on the power play and Charles Massey (1 & 2) closed out the scoring for the Kings Saturday night.

Matthias Smith had a great bounce back game in goal as well. He stopped all 30 shots he faced while his team fired 42 on the Wayway net.

Power plays had Dauphin end the night 2 for 6 on the man advantage while Wayway was 0 for 6.

The win puts the Kings at 1-1-0-0 on the season. They'll now return to Dauphin before heading back to Wayway Friday for game three of their early season four game series. The Kings are back at Credit Union Place on Saturday when they host Wayway at Credit Union Place. The game is presented by the Dauphin Fire Department and goes down at 7:30pm!
