Kings In The Community

Your Dauphin Kings are proud to be positive role models within our community.  The Kings make a strong effort to take part in community events throughout the season, including various fundraisers, school appearances, minor hockey appearances and much more.

The Kings have volunteered their time throughout the City of Dauphin all season, including…

  • Dauphin Friendship Center Hot Lunch Program
  • I Love To Read Month
  • Participants in Floor Hockey
  • The Dauphin Parade of Lights
  • Canadian Ukranian Festival Parade
  • The Make-A-Wish Foundation

And all season long, every Thursday, the Kings visit local Dauphin schools sponsored by A&W Dauphin!

Hello Sherrie,

I just wanted to take the time to sent you a quick note and thank you for your help in setting up the presentation at Whitmore school today with the Kings players.

Also just wanted to pass along the word that both Zack KLEBAUM and Chance THOMAS did an excellent job representing both themselves and the Dauphin Kings. The kids really appreciated it, and it is a great credit to these two players for doing a good job.

Thanks again,
Nick

Good evening-  attached are several pictures of the Dauphin Kings (Brandon, Kelby, Kirklan, Landon, Tyler) during their volunteer time at École Macneill.  The guys were a great help to our Green Team, moving 23 000 plastic bags from out of storage to the gym for our ‘Bag Up’ assembly.  During the month of October, we collected plastic bags to prevent them from being deposited into landfill sites.  The bags will be sent to Winnipeg to be made into recycled materials (Frisbees, plastic bird houses, plastic park benches etc).

The staff and students really appreciate the time that the players are spending at our school.  They are making positive connections to the community.  They are positive role models to the students, reading with them, assisting them with their school work and playing outside during recess.  The guys are even learning a little bit of FrenchJ.  I hope that their time at École Macneill is as rewarding and fulfilling for them as it is for us.  Merci beaucoup.
