Coaching Staff


MITCH GIGUERE – HEAD COACH & GM

From Montreal, QC, Michel Giguere joins the Dauphin Kings after coaching the Minor Midget Espoir Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean. Giguere has been coaching since 2007 and his resume features a long list of accomplishments.

Over the past number of years Giguere has been the Head Coach of Canada West’s Elite Team at the Pre Draft Showcase in New England. He’s also been the bench boss for a number of provincial teams out east including Quebec’s U14 and U15 squads.

Giguere lives in Dauphin with his wife Audrey, his four children, daughters Leoni (1), Maxim (9) and Alexe (7) & son Louis (Newborn)!


BRETT WILLOWS – GOALTENDING COACH

From Rivers, MB, Brett Willows spent three seasons with the Dauphin Kings from 2008 to 2011.

His journey included time with the club during their run to the 2010 RBC Cup Championship Game. Willows took part in four contests during the ANAVET Cup in 2010, helping the Kings win the Manitoba/Saskatchewan Championship series over the La Ronge Ice Wolves. In his final season with Dauphin Willows put up a 3.09 goals against average and a .913 save percentage.

Willows’ career also saw him make stops at the University of Toronto and a brief stint with the Toronto Maple Leafs, where he was an emergency backup in 2013.
