Senf gives Kings two huge points

The Dauphin Kings were down by a pair of goals with just more than 10 minutes left in their weekend finale on Saturday.

The team displayed their never die attitude as they came back and earned two points in a thrilling 6-5 overtime win against the Winnipeg Blues in the back half of a home-and-home. Alex Senf ultimately scored the game-winning in overtime.

Both teams traded goals as it was 3-3 before the Blues scored two straight to take a 5-3 lead in the wild game. Luke Janus, Kai Elkie, Ryland Kuczek, Michael Tanchak, and Dawson Zeller had Winnipeg’s goals in the game.

Down 5-3, Matthew Gough, who had an outstanding game, scored a beautiful game to bring Dauphin within a goal. Then just out of the penalty box, Logan Walker scored his biggest goal as a King with a beautiful shot that beat Jackson McLeod. It was Walker’s third of the weekend.

Senf then scored his 12th of the season in overtime to send the fans home happy. With the win, Dauphin now has 41 points and they are just a single point behind OCN for first place in the West Division. The Kings are back on the ice on Wednesday when they head to Swan River to play the Stampeders.
