Kings look for weekend split

For the second time in as many days, the Dauphin Kings and Winnipeg Blues will hit the ice against each other.

Dauphin will be looking for a weekend split after a 6-4 defeat on Friday night, one in which the Kings struggled defensively.

Despite the loss, Dauphin is only three points back of first place in the MGEU West Division and they return to a venue where they have been very good at all season.

Dauphin is 12-5-0-1 at Credit Union Place this season while the Blues are 4-7-3 on the road this season. Winnipeg did edge Dauphin in Dauphin earlier this campaign.

A highlight of Friday’s game was Aaron Neal scoring his first with the Kings while Marco Bodnarski also found the scoresheet in his first game back after returning from the Oceanside Generals.

Following Saturday’s game, Dauphin plays six more games in January, all of which come against West Division opponents. The puck drops at Credit Union Place at 7:30.
