Kings Make Deadline Moves

DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings made multiple moves on the 2019 Trade Deadline that sees all areas of the club being addressed.

Dauphin's first deal on Thursday was one that saw the club send forward George King (98) to the Melfort Mustangs of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. King had left Dauphin back on November 11th.

The next deal had the Kings move goaltender Brendan Benoit (00) to the La Ronge Ice Wolves of the SJHL for D-man Stephon Perreault (98).

Not long after that the Kings sent D-man Jacob Evans (99) to the Virden Oil Capitals in exchange for defenceman Brayden Pawluk (99) and forward prospect Slade Stanick (03). Stanick joins his brother Sloan on the Kings, Sloan who was picked second overall by the Kings in the MJHL Draft last summer. The brothers are both currently with the Yellowhead Chiefs of the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League.

Finally, in the last deal of the day Dauphin sent D-man Wayde Johannesson (98) and Future Considerations to the Selkirk Steelers in exchange for Future Considerations.

The Kings would like to thank Wayde, Jacob, Brendan and George for their time with the hockey club. Four outstanding players and great young men and we wish them all the best in their future endeavours.
