Kings lock horns with Blizzard

Fresh off their second shutout of the season on Friday night, the Dauphin Kings are back on the ice tonight as they play a key West Division matchup.

After beating OCN twice to end January, the team welcomes the Blizzard to town for the third and final time as the two clubs meet for the sixth time this season. Marko Belak was great in net on Friday as he made 28 saves while Marco Bodnarski scored his first goal as a King.

With Friday’s win, Dauphin has opened a four-point lead over OCN and the Kings are on top of the West with Waywayseecappo.

The Kings have been dominant on home ice this season, as they extended their home record to 17-6-0-1 with last night’s victory.

Saturday’s game is also the second of Dauphin’s current three-game homestand as they will welcome the Steinbach Pistons to Credit Union Place next Friday. Game time on Saturday is set for 7:30.
