
WINNIPEG, MB - The Dauphin Kings have points in six straight games after grabbing a 3-2 shootout win over the Blues in Winnipeg.
Dauphin got out to a hot start when Riley Buller opened the scoring in the first minute of the first period. His sixth of the campaign gave the Kings the lead until the second period when the Blues tied things up with just over 7:30 to go.
Winnipeg would snag their first lead of the night in the third period when they scored on an early power play.
Cole DeKoninck continued his hot play when he tied things up in the third period. The goal was his fourth of the season and came late on a Dauphin man advantage.
The tilt would proceed 15 more minutes and then head to overtime where play was pretty even.
After overtime was the shootout and Riley Buller was the only player to score, lifting his team to victory.
Both teams scored once on the power play Tuesday night. Ethan Slobodzian picked up his first win between the pipes as a King, he stopped 30 of 32 shots while his team fired 33 on the Winnipeg net.
The win improves the Kings' record to 16-12-3 on the year. They'll regroup with two days off before getting back on the ice for Teddy Bear Toss night at Credit Union Place. Game time Friday is 7:30pm!
