Heading up north

The OCN Blizzard are struggling heavily in 2022; however, they are returning home for just the third time in the new year and it’s never easy on opponents when they play at their real home.

For the third time in 2022, the Blizzard are playing at the Gordon Lathlin Memorial Centre, a building that is loud even if only 50 fans are in attendance.

On Sunday night, they’ll look to snap a six-game losing streak while Dauphin will look to keep the good times rolling. Dauphin has recorded back-to-back shutouts and remain atop the West Division heading into the contest.

Entering Sunday’s game, Dauphin has the best goal differential in the league at +55, three better than Steinbach who are back in action on Monday against Waywayseecappo.

Dauphin has won four of their last five games and have scored 18 goals in the process, while only giving up 9.

You can watch Sunday’s game on HockeyTV or listen to the game on 730CKDM with Darnell Duff

Game notes:

  • Dauphin has won four of five meetings with OCN this season
  • Dauphin’s next three games are against OCN before a big series against Waywayseecappo
  • Dauphin is 12-6-1 on the road, OCN is 7-8-1-2 on home ice
