Carson Cherepak returned between the pipes for the first time in nearly a month on Friday and was back to his old self.

The 19-year-old made 27 saves to record a shutout as Dauphin dominated OCN from start to finish in a 5-0 win.

It was Cherepak’s first game since January 7.

”No better way to return than that,” said Cherepak. “Team played great in front of me as well, it was a great team effort.”

Kaden Bryant’s stick remained red-hot for Dauphin as he scored his 24th and 25th goals of the season. Also scoring was Nolan Wickham, Nakodan Greyeyes and Owen Wareham also scored for Dauphin in the win.

“We’ve really come together in the past two games and found a way to get the job done,” said Cherepak

Dauphin has outscored their opponents, 8-0 over their past two games. The team is now 27-10-1 and they remain atop the West Division, one point ahead of Waywayseecappo.

Dauphin is back at it on Sunday as they head to OCN to play the Blizzard.
