Consistent Recognition For Kings

DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings have clearly turned a corner when it comes to more recognition in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

This season the club has seen a number of players win both weekly and monthly awards and named runner-ups in those categories.

In total Kings players have been recognized 17 times by the league for their strong play when it comes to monthly and weekly awards.

Grady Hobbs, Nakodan Greyeyes & Baron Thompson have been named a star of the week two times each so far this season while Brayden Pawluk, Austin Lamotte and Cole DeKoninck have been stars once each. There have been 14 weeks with Kings players being a star nine times this year.

Austin Lamotte and Nakodan Greyeyes have both won monthly awards this season. Lamotte took home the IBAM Rookie of the Month Award in December while Greyeyes was the RBC Player of the Month at the start of the season.

Hobbs, DeKoninck, Thompson and Greyeyes have all also been runner-ups for the league's month accolades during the campaign. DeKoninck and Hobbs twice in their respective categories.

With the success Kings players have been having fans should expect to see a number of their hometown heroes attending the MJHL/SJHL Showcase which happens January 21st & 22nd in Regina.

With the unofficial second half of the season set to kick off on Sunday for Dauphin, Kings fans can look forward to more great action at Credit Union Place as the club sets its sights on the post season.
