Ukrainian Night is here

It’s Dmytro Kubrytskyi against Chase Hamm. Those are the two projected goalies on Friday night as the Dauphin Kings host Ukrainian Night against the OCN Blizzard.

In the team’s last meeting, it was the Blizzard who came out on top as Chase posted a 27-save shutout in a 4-0 win.

Since Dauphin has been rolling. Entering the contests following back-to-back wins against Waywayseecappo, Dauphin will open a three-game homestand tonight.

The Kings enter the game with 47 points, just two fewer than OCN. Friday’s game is the first of three meetings between the two teams at Credit Union Place as they will also meet on Sunday afternoon.

Dauphin continues to lead the league in wins after 60 minutes as the club has won six games, whether that be in overtime or the shootout while OCN has won four games that extended past three periods. Dauphin’s offence is starting to find its stride with eight goals last weekend and their 133 goals are the third most in the West Division.

The doors open for Friday’s game at 6:00 p.m. with the puck slated to drop just after 7:30.
