Tough Effort leads to Kings loss

It was a tough start for the Dauphin Kings and the ending wasn’t much better on Friday night.

The Neepawa Titans scored just three minutes into the contest and they ended up cruising to a 5-1 win on home ice at the Yellowhead Centre.

Dauphin fell down 3-0 in the game before Tyson Pauze found the back of the net to give the Kings some life. However, that was it. The Titans would score two more for the convincing win.

Dauphin does remain in a tie for second in the West Division with a record of 14-9-1. Neepawa; meanwhile, is now just three points back of the fourth and final playoff spot in the West.

The two teams will meet on Saturday night at Credit Union Place for Teddy Bear Toss Night. You’re also encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item and the team will then take all of the items to the Dauphin Food Bank next week.
