Seven Kings Prospects Hit The Ice In Brandon

BRANDON, MB – The fans were out in full force on Wednesday night at the Sportsplex in Brandon, Manitoba as the host AAA Wheat Kings entertained the Yellowhead Chiefs in Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League actions.

Brandon’s lineup featured five Dauphin Kings prospects in Lynden McCallum, Jaymes Knee, Carter Sawchuk, Keagan Morrison and Jared Twerdoclib.

On the Yellowhead Chiefs side the Kings had D-man Ryder Richmond and forward Jaxon Heeney.

The affair saw the Wheat Kings beat the Chiefs 7-3 with five of their goals coming in the second period.

When it came to Kings prospects Lynden McCallum and Jaymes Knee led the way. McCallum had two goals on the night while Knee snagged a goal and two assists. The other point getter was D-man Ryder Richmond who picked up a goal in the third period for the Chiefs. Even though they didn’t get any points all other Kings prospects looked good on the ice as well!

Next up for the Brandon AAA Wheat Kings is a home game against the Norman Northstars while the Chiefs head back home to entertain the Eastman Selects. Both games happen Saturday.

If you’re looking to check out some of the Kings prospects when they come to town you can see Brandon when they visit the Parkland Rangers on Wednesday December 7th. The Yellowhead Chiefs will be in Dauphin next on Tuesday November 1st!
