DAUPHIN, MB – The Dauphin Kings and Portage Terriers have made a trade involving a handful of players.
Dauphin sends forwards Kelby Picard and Kirklan Lycar to the Portage Terriers in exchange for forwards Ashton Clark, Howard Yawit and the list rights to forward Matthew Pitchenese as well as future considerations. You can see more details of the transaction below as well as the thoughts of Kings Head Coach and GM Marc Berry.
The Kings would like to take this chance to thank Kirklan Lycar and Kelby Picard for their time both on the ice and in the community and we wish them all the best in the future.
We’d also like to welcome Ashton, Howard and Matthew to the City of Sunshine!

“In our opinion when the two players we moved left our organization we felt we lost some of our veteran presence. By adding these two 20 year olds we’re hoping to get some of that back. Both these guys have championship experience and know how to win” says Kings Head Coach and GM Marc Berry.
“Ashton Clark is an in your face type of player that has a scoring touch and can play in all situations while Howard Yawit is a details type player that’s very hard to play against and knows the right habits to breed a winning culture.”
“Matthew Pitchenese has great size, the ability to put the puck in the net and skates very well for a player of his stature” adds Berry.
