Prospects Camp Sees Best Turnout In Years

DAUPHIN, MB - Well over 100 players came out for Dauphin Kings Prospect Camp presented by Dauphin Super 8 & Smitty's at Credit Union Place this past weekend.

The event saw MJHL Draft eligible players along with Kings prospects take to the ice to show their development throughout the 2018-19 season.

"We're really happy with the weekend. We had a good turnout of 2004 players and it was a great opportunity to check them out before the draft along with our list players and a few others. The weekend went very well" says Kings Assistant Coach Mitch Topinka. "All our list players looked really good. Sloan & Slade Stanick were excellent. Kade Runke & and Owen Wareham as well. Really the full group of our list players were solid all weekend."

"It was a really goodย  three days, we saw some strong numbers" says Kings Director of Marketing & Media Relations Christian Laughland. "It was one of the bigger camps we've had in the past handful of seasons and it was also a nice economic boost for the City of Dauphin as players and parents stayed in local hotels, ate at local restaurants and shopped at local businesses" Laughland added.

Next on the agenda for the Dauphin Kings is the club's Early Bird Season Ticket Deadline which is at the end of April. Fans can purchase theirs for the 2019-20 season at the Kinsmen Business Expo on Saturday April 27th and Sunday April 28th at Credit Union Place before the price bumps up to $229.00 plus taxes and fees on May 1st.

After that fans can look forward to the Kings Par 3 Extravaganza at the Dauphin Lake Golf Course. It goes down on Saturday June 8th and registrations will be accepted starting Monday April 8th at Aspen Insurance in Dauphin. Stay tuned for more details!
