The Dauphin Kings swung a deal on Friday adding defenceman Sam Schultz from the Fort Frances Lakers in the SIJHL for future considerations.
The 19 year old right hander had 26 points in 49 games for the Lakers last season. The 5.10, 165 lb product of Hartland, WI was a key part of the Lakers SIJHL Championship season.
“Schultz has great feet and moves the puck extremely well.” stated Kings Head Coach/GM Marlin Murray. “He loves to compete and he has experienced playing at a high level during the playoffs last season. Sam will be a very good addition to our backend.”
“I’m excited to be joining the Kings club.” Said Schultz. “I cant wait to join the very competitive group, I’ve heard great things about Dauphin”
Schultz will be joining the Kings September 3rd as the team comes together for main camp.
