Kings Looking Forward To Country Night On Saturday

DAUPHIN, MB - The excitement is building as the Dauphin Kings get set to kick off a season high seven game home stand this weekend at Credit Union Place.

It all starts with Country Night on Saturday (Nov 29) presented by the Kings and Dauphin's Countryfest. This year is a little different then in past years as fans can expect a lot more going on at the rink.

"There will be lots happening this weekend in Dauphin" says Kings Director of Business Operations Christian Laughland. "Obviously the Kings game is a big one but our community is hosting the annual Christmas Parade earlier in the evening on Saturday with a number of other events in town as well. There's also a U9 tournament this weekend with lots of kids and parents in our city. We look forward to welcoming everyone into the arena this weekend."

This year the Kings and Countryfest have partnered to create special jerseys in honour of the over 35 year old festival.

"Countryfest, much like the Dauphin Kings, is very important to our community and area. It has a big economic impact and it has been great to see the excitement return towards the festival this year with the recent announcement of their 2026 Lineup" added Laughland. "The jerseys will be worn Saturday night and then placed in an auction the following week for people to bid on and take home. All the proceeds will be split between the Kings and Countryfest. We'd also like to thank Larry Garton and Garton's Auction Service for helping us with the jersey auction" said Laughland.

On top of the jerseys fans can expect Countryfest giveaways at the Kings game on Saturday, Jelly Roll face painting, intermission activities and a whole lot more.

"The game will be one of the highlights of our season and we hope everyone can attend and support two important community pieces in Dauphin" said Laughland.
