Kings go head to head with Blizzard

The Dauphin Kings make their first trip up north on Tuesday night as they play the most northern team in the league for the first time this season.

Coming off a weekend split against the Neepawa Titans to open the season, the Kings battle the OCN Blizzard. OCN is coming off a perfect weekend after they swept the Swan Valley Stampeders and looked very impressive in doing so as they allowed just two goals.

If this past weekend with any indication, the Kings could look forward to plenty of powerplay opportunities on Tuesday. OCN had 41 penalty minutes in their first two games, that’s the second-most in the league, only behind the Winnipeg Freeze who has 46.

Tuesday’s game is the first of six meetings between the division rivals this season with the next meeting coming on October 25.
