Kings Add New Assistant Coach

DAUPHIN, MB – The Dauphin Kings announced Tuesday that they have added Michel Giguere as their new Assistant Coach.

Giguere, who was born in Montreal, has been a coaching since 2007. He was most recently the Head Coach of the Minor Midget Espoir Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean and the Head Coach of Canada West’s Elite Team at the Pre Draft Showcase in New England earlier this year. Giguere has also been a Head Coach for a number of provincial teams out east including Quebec’s U14 and U15 squads.

“We’ve been talking to Michel for a few months and we’re confident this will be an excellent fit for our organization. The first order of business will be to have Michel come in, learn our players, organization and what we’re all about before we start Fall Camp at the end of August” says Kings Head Coach and GM Marc Berry.

“I’m very proud and excited to be a part of an organization with such great history. As a career coach, moving up to Junior was a logical next step for me. I think Marc and I have some really good chemistry. Ever since we first spoke on the phone things just seemed to click” says Giguere.

The Kings would like to welcome Michelle, his wife and kids to the City of Sunshine!
