King commit wins regular season hardware

Austin Seibel is an award winner as he prepares to join the Dauphin Kings next season, but first, he’s putting together a tremendous season with the North Okanagan Knights of the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League.

Seibel finished fifth in the league with 16 wins, a total that led all rookie goaltenders. He had two shutouts to go with a .926 save percentage and a 2.95 goals-against average in 29 games.

In four games to end the season, Seibel turned away 135 of the 141 shots he faced in wins over Osoyoos, Summerland, and Kelowna twice.

Austin also represented his Knights team on Team KIJHL for the BCHC Prospects Game. Austin will now lead his team into the playoffs with their first-round series starting this weekend on the road in Osoyoos.
