The Dauphin Kings erupted last weekend with 11 goals over the course of two games against the Winnipeg Blues. It was a nice treat for Kings fans that watched the home team struggle to find the back of the net early in the campaign.

Sitting at 3-4-1, Dauphin will open a home-and-home tonight against the same team they beat in the Turnbull Cup final last year. The Steinbach Pistons are coming to Credit Union Place as the teams meet for the first time this season. Sitting near the bottom of the West Division, the Pistons have been the class of the MJHL so far.

At 7-0, Steinbach is the only undefeated team left in the league and they’re tied with the Portage Terriers for the top spot in the East Division. They also boast the top three scorers in the league and seem to be very well-rounded from the top of the lineup to the bottom.

Steinbach is 2-0 on the road this season while Dauphin comes in at 2-1 at Credit Union Place. Following Friday’s game, the two teams will meet at the T.G. Smith Centre in Steinbach on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
