Trotz Beats Goring In JoFo Cup, Exhibition Next

DAUPHIN, MB - It was a very entertaining JoFo Cup this year at Credit Union Place as Team Trotz beat Team Goring 7-5.

The game had a couple fights, some nice goals and a lot of great work ethic as players battled it out for spots on what is expected to be a very fun to watch Dauphin Kings team this season.

In the opening period Colby Jaquet started the scoring with a shot from the point that found its way home. Team Trotz would continue their strong play with three more before the end of the frame. Scorers were Zach Turner and Noah Wagner and Sean Williams.

In the second period Team Goring came alive and chipped away at the lead, making it 5-4 after 40 minutes for Team Trotz. Goring saw goals from Parker Fofonoff (2), Kadin Ilott and Kaden Bryant while Team Trotz had a marker from Braeden Young.

In the third Team Trotz tallied early to make it 6-4 (Lamotte) but Parker Malchuk made it close late off a great setup by Koby Morrisseau. It wasn't enough however as Grady Hobbs would add an empty netter to give Team Trotz the victory.

The JoFo Cup concludes Dauphin Kings Main Camp presented by Smitty's and the Dauphin Super 8. Next up for the club is the exhibition season which kicks off on Monday when the Kings welcome the Swan Valley Stampeders to Credit Union Place. Opening face off is 7:30pm!
