Sawchuk To Join Kings

DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings took another important step towards the 2018-19 MJHL hockey season today when they announced the commitment of one the top scorers in the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League.

Brandon's Carter Sawchuk has been in the Kings' system for a number of years and had an excellent season playing for the Brandon AAA Wheat Kings. This year in 48 games the forward had 30 goals and 34 assists for 64 points. That total put him 11th overall in the MMHL.

In the post season Sawchuk helped the Wheat Kings to the league final series against the Winnipeg Wild. He put up four goals and two assists in nine contests.

"Carter skates well, competes all over the ice, plays with an edge and is an intelligent player that wins face offs. He's an effective special teams player that is constantly improving his game thanks to his excellent work ethic. His skill set is superb and playing for a strong midget program in Brandon has helped that develop over the last few seasons" says Kings Head Scout & Director of Player Personnel Mitchell Kirkup.

The Kings would like to welcome Carter and the rest of his family to the City of Sunshine for the upcoming season and beyond!
