Kings Par 3 Continues To Highlight Golf Season

GILBERT PLAINS, MB - There were no hole-in-ones this year but that didn't ruin anything as people are still talking about the Dauphin Kings Par 3!

This past Saturday the Kings held their annual tournament at the Gilbert Plains Country Club with over 160 golfers hitting the course.

In the end the team of Trevor Fox, Dan Scott, Dave Campbell & Lloyd Campbell were the winners with a score of 44 (-10)!

Fox, Scott, Campbell & Campbell weren't the only winners however, as the Kings gave away almost $3000.00 in cash along with numerous other prizes and gift cards including six Sunday passes to Dauphin's Countryfest!

"This tournament wouldn't be able to go forward without our amazing sponsors and wonderful volunteers. We'd like to thank Lindsey Kyle for once again chairing a successful tournament, Scott McCallum and the GPCC for hosting the tournament and all the golfers who continue to support the event" said Kings Director of Marketing & Media Relations Christian Laughland.

There were a number of memorable moments Saturday, one included Vanguard-Catalyst Credit Union donating $1,000.00 to the Dauphin Kings 50 for 50 Campaign!

"The Kings 50 for 50 Campaign started at the Par 3 one year ago. We thought it would be fitting to end it at this year's tournament" stated Laughland. "We'd like to thank all those who took part in this fundraiser which raised over $50,000.00 for the hockey club. All that money went directly to our debt!"
