Joss Commits To Kings

DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings added another key piece to their hockey club this week following the commitment of forward Mitchell Joss (01).

A product of Winnipeg, Joss spent last season with the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League's Winnipeg Wild. He helped the team to a league championship and was a force up front, scoring 65 points (26G, 39A) during the regular season. He had one more point than Carter Sawchuk, who committed to the Kings last week!

In the post season Joss led the Wild and the league in goals, putting up eight in 10 contests, he also added three assists in that span.

Following the league title Joss helped the Wild advance to the championship affair of the Telus Cup Midget West Regional in Thunder Bay where the club fell to Saskatchewan's Notre Dame Hounds. In the tournament Joss was once again key for his team, scoring a goal and adding five assists in four games. That total had him fourth in tournament scoring.

Joss has been in the Dauphin system for a few years. The club drafted him in the 3rd round (25th overall) in the 2016 MJHL Draft.

The Kings would like to welcome Mitchell and the rest of his family to the City of Sunshine for the upcoming 2018-19 season and beyond!
