Zaharias, Yaschyshyn Send Kings Into Christmas Break On A High

DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings scored one goal and that's all they'd need in a 1-0 victory Saturday night at Credit Union Place.

Nicholas Zaharias was the hero. Scoring the Teddy Bear Toss goal, shorthanded, just under three minutes into the third period.

Even though they scored just one goal it was still one of Dauphin's best games of the season. They controlled things from start to finish, heavily out shooting the Wolverines 46-23 when everything was said and done.

Bryson Yaschyshyn was good when he needed to be to help the Kings to victory, stopping all 23 shots he faced. Some key in the third period.

Dauphin's Power Play did not score on three chances Saturday. Their Penalty Kill was very good in the win, going 6 for 6.

That's it for 2025. The Kings move to 19-10-1-0 on the season and now go into the Christmas break as the top team in the MJHL's West Division. The Kings will return to action on Sunday January 4th when they welcome the Neepawa Titans to Credit Union Place. Game time is 4:00pm!

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR! We'll see you in 2026!
