DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings had the bulk of the chances but couldn't get them through in a 3-1 loss to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines Tuesday night.

The first few minutes saw the Kings carry things, outshooting the Wolverines 3-0, but it was Waywayseecappo scoring just under five minutes into the contest on their first shot. The Kings would even it up in the second half of the frame. Matthew O'Sullivan tallied his 20th of the campaign off a great pass from Aiden Murray. In the final minute the Wolverines would retake the lead and go into the intermission up 2-1.

A poor start to the second period resulted in the Kings falling behind 3-1 in the opening minute. The goal was the only one of the period which saw the two teams split the shots 9-9.

The third had Dauphin once again control things for the most part, but they couldn't get close and the period would finish scoreless. Shots in the third were 8-5 Dauphin.

Special Teams were even with both teams going 0 for 2 on the Power Play.

Shots were in favour of the Kings, as mentioned. They finished ahead of the Wolverines 33-22.

The Kings, 21-16-1-0 on the season, now play four of their next five at Credit Union Place. The next Kings home game is Saturday for UKRAINIAN NIGHT at Credit Union Place. Tickets are just $5.00 and available this week at the CNUF Office in the Dauphin Market Place Mall!
