The MGEU West Division is as close as it has been for many years. On Friday night, the Dauphin Kings will look to take one step closer to the Turnbull Cup playoffs.

Friday’s game is the front end of a home-and-home as the two teams will meet at Tundra Oil & Gas Place in Virden on Saturday.

Players to Watch

Dauphin: Deepkaran Hans

Hans is coming off two of his strongest performances of the season last weekend against Steinbach. He recorded one goal and three assists and he looked fantastic throughout the games.

In 33 games, he’s scored 13 goals and recorded 11 assists.

Virden: Nolan Chastko

At just 17-years-old, Chastko has a long junior career ahead of himself. It may not all take place in Virden as he was a last minute cut in Prince George of the Western Hockey League.

While he’s in Oil Country, he has shown how good he is and he will continue to be a lot to handle. With one of the best releases in the league, Nolan has the ability to score anytime he has the puck on his stick in the offensive zone. He has 15 goals and 19 assists this season.
