Wayway strikes, Kings split

On a night where the Dauphin Kings hit iron several times, the team dropped a 3-1 contest to the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.

Dauphin played well throughout the contest; however, 21 seconds did the team in on Saturday.

The Wolverines scored with 5:00 left to take a 2-1 lead and they took a 3-1 lead just 23 seconds later.

Colby Jaquet scored Dauphin’s lone goal in the game. Despite the loss, Dauphin remains on top of the West Division.

The team is 12-4 for 24 points while the Wolverines are 11-4-1, for 23 points.

Dauphin continues their season next weekend when they open a four-game set against Swan Valley.
