Ukrainian night is here

It’s the night so many people have been waiting for and it’s finally here. For the first time in a couple of years, the Dauphin Kings will host Ukrainian Night as the Swan Valley Stampeders are in town.

It’s the second half of a weekend set between the two teams and Dauphin is coming off a big win on Friday, winning 7-3. Dauphin dominated from start to finish on Friday as they won their 38th game of the season.

With first in the West Division already clinched, Dauphin is now chasing 40 wins and they can achieve that by winning two of their last three games. After tonight, the team welcomes the Winnipeg Freeze to town on Tuesday before heading to Winnipeg on Thursday.

Dauphin has won 20 games on home ice this season and last night saw the return of Mathew Rathbone who scored a beautiful goal while Jayden Harris also returned from a lengthy stretch on the injured list. Dauphin now knows they will play the Stampeders in the first-round of the playoffs and they are set to begin on Friday, March 25.

Tonight’s Ukrainian Night jerseys will be put on auction both at the game and online following the game. Dauphinkings.com is the place to be to stay up to date.
