Top two in the West meet

The Dauphin Kings and Waywayseecappo Wolverines haven’t played since November but they’re going to become very familiar with each other once again as they play four times over the next eight days.

The first of four goes on Friday night at the Arena Complex, an arena that the Wolverines lost 10-3 in earlier this week against the Oil Capitals. Dauphin enters the game with a one-point lead over the Wolverines for first place in the West Division. Dauphin also leads the season series three games to one, with all of those games coming two months prior to the deadline.

Since both teams have beefed up. Kolton Shindle has 26 points in 19 games this year with the team while Joey Moffat has 13 points in 11 games. Dauphin; meanwhile, added Nakodan Greyeyes, Aidan Brook and Logan Calder. Waywayseecappo is the most efficient team offensively in the league as they’ve scored 183 goals while Dauphin possesses the stingiest defence as they’ve allowed a league-low 101 goals.

The two teams will return to Credit Union Place on Saturday for a rematch at 7:30. You can hear both games this weekend on 730CKDM with Darnell Duff.
