DAUPHIN, MB - One week remains for the Dauphin Kings and the Manitoba Junior Hockey League 2024-25 Regular Season.
In case you missed it last week the Kings grabbed four of a possible six points and only gave up three goals in the process. First Dauphin fell 1-0 to the Northern Manitoba Blizzard on Tuesday thanks to a bad bounce off the boards. After that the Kings rebounded with wins over Portage (2-1) and Swan Valley (3-1) to close out the week.
Dauphin enters this week six points ahead of Northern Manitoba and need a single point or a Norman loss at some point this week to clinch top spot in the MJHL's West Division.
This week the Kings have three games. It starts Tuesday when they visit the Waywayseecappo Wolverines. Then on Friday they're in Neepawa to play the Titans and then Saturday they close out their season at Credit Union Place against the Waywayseecappo Wolverines.
Saturday's game is RAIN CHECK NIGHT and AWARDS NIGHT. Rain Check Night means fans can use any unused season tickets or flex tickets to get into the game. REMINDER: All Season/Flex Tickets will be expired following the regular season on Saturday. You will need to purchase tickets for each playoff game later this month.
All Dauphin Kings Regular Season Awards will be handed out before, during and after Saturday's game! Don't forget, Early Bird Season Tickets will also be on sale at Saturday's game. Everyone that buys their ticket is entered into a draw for a $100.00 MR MIKES Gift Card given out that night!
All start times this week are 7:30pm!
THREE STARS
The Dauphin Kings Three Starts of the Week is presented by Parkland Source for Sports and local legend Dave Campbell. It's handed out at the end of the regular season and is based on a point system week-to-week. The Kings' final regular season game is Saturday March 15th vs. the Waywayseecappo Wolverines. This is also a Rain Check Night!
The point system works like this:
1st Star = 5 points
2nd Star = 3 points
3rd Star = 1 point
At the end of the season the player with the most points will win the trophy which, again, will be presented by Parkland Source for Sports!
Each week the standings will be updated in the "Three Stars of the Week" article.

THIRD STAR - GABRIEL BUGEAUD

A solid week for Terrebone, Quebec's Gabriel Bugeaud.
On Friday the 2005 born forward scored the Kings' game winner against the Portage Terriers and then on Saturday he helped out with an assist.
Bugeaud is one of eight players to pass the 30 point mark so far this season. Entering this week he has 15 goals and 16 assists for 31 points.
SECOND STAR - ETHAN STEWART

Another player to eclipse the 30 point mark this season is Brandon's Ethan Stewart.
The 2007 born forward has stepped up with the Kings hitting the injury bug late in the season.
Stewart had two goals last week and is now sitting at 10 goals and 22 assists for 32 points on the campaign.
FIRST STAR - COLE SHEFFIELD

For the second straight week Cole Sheffield has been Dauphin's best player.
Sheffield finished last week with a 2-1 record. He had a 1.00 Goals Against Average and a .970 Save Percentage.
The Ontario product also hit the 30 win mark with a victory over Swan Valley on Saturday. That total is second most in the MJHL coming into this week's action.
