Team Goring Takes JoFo Cup

DAUPHIN, MB - Dauphin Kings Fall Camp concluded Sunday afternoon with the club hosting their annual JoFo Cup Intrasquad Game. It had Team Butch Goring defeat Team Barry Trotz 7-4.

The contest saw 18 year old forward Jaxon Heeney lead the way for Team Goring, scoring two goals, one in the first period and one in the third. Other scorers for Team Goring included Matthew Shatsky, Eric Erhmantrout, Sam Harris, Jack Oleksiuk and Tyson Kozak.

Team Barry Trotz could never really seem to get anything going and after falling behind 3-0 in the opening period they were unable to recover from the deficit.

Scoring for Team Trotz on Sunday were Alex Cattani, Brandon Kochen, Broddey Richards and Mark Ziobro.

The winning goalies for Team Goring were Brady Weiss, Rory Campbell and Albert Adamsen.

Now the Kings get set for eight exhibition games beginning on Monday when they welcome the Swan Valley Stampeders to Credit Union Place. Opening face off is 3:00pm. Check back for a preview Monday morning!
