DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings battled back from a 3-1 deficit but ended up falling 4-3 in overtime to the Selkirk Steelers Saturday night at Credit Union Place.

The Kings would open the scoring in Saturday's affair. Havryil Simchuk (7) got things started for the Kings before the Steelers rattled off three straight goals. One in the first and two more in the second.

Dauphin would stop the bleeding in the second period when Ethan Stewart (3), back in the lineup for the first time since September, scored his third of the campaign on the Power Play.

The game would remain 3-2 until the late stages of the third period when local product Madden Murray (4) pounced on a loose puck to tie things at three with just over a minute to play.

In overtime the Steelers would capitalize off a turnover and an odd man rush to gain the extra point.

The Kings ended up out shooting the Steelers 38-37 in the contest and their Power Play was more effective, going 1 for 3 on the evening. Selkirk was 0 for 4.

Bryson Yaschyshyn suffered the loss between the pipes for the Kings, who now slip to 8-2-1-0 on the year. The single point gained puts them alone atop the MJHL's West Division Standings for the evening.

Dauphin will be back in action tomorrow when they host the Winkler Flyers at Credit Union Place. Game time is 4:00pm. After that Dauphin will not be back on home ice until Sunday November 9th when they face off with the Portage Terriers.
