TONIGHT'S MATCHUP
KINGS (4-2-0-0)
Dauphin is still off to a solid start to the 2024-25 season despite two losses in a row, but they will need to get back on track soon before other teams start passing them in the standings. The Kings have played the least amount of games in their division so far.
Tonight marks the start of a very busy stretch for the Kings. They will conclude their home stand this weekend with games tonight and tomorrow afternoon against Waywayseecappo. After that the group goes on the road for four straight. From tonight until October 20th Dauphin will play six games in nine nights.
The Kings' Power Play enters tonight's affair with the Freeze sitting 7th in the MJHL at 23.8% while their Penalty Kill has struggled a bit and is now down to 8th in the league at 76.5%
Cayden Glover (4G, 1A) and Ty Pratte (5A) are tied for the Kings lead in points with five.

FREEZE (0-5-0-1)
The Winnipeg Freeze will be a team that the Dauphin Kings should not take lightly in Saturday's tilt. The Freeze are still in search of their first win this MJHL season and if they are taken lightly they could be capable of squeezing one out on the road.
Winnipeg is currently the worst team in the MJHL. Not only are they at the bottom of the points standings they have the worst goals for against with just 10 for and 33 against through only six games this season. That means they've been outscored 5-1 on average.
Special Teams reflect the same story for the Freeze. They are second to last in the MJHL on both their Power Play (8.3%) and Penalty Kill (71.4%).
Liam Goertzen leads the Freeze with three goals and three assists on the season.
