Pistons Shut Out Kings

WINNIPEG, MB - The Dauphin Kings had their share of chances, but couldn't get any over the goal line in a 3-0 loss to the Steinbach Pistons Wednesday night in Winnipeg.

Dauphin hit a couple posts, had a few scrambles in front of the net and missed on a breakaway chance Wednesday night.

The Pistons scored two goals in the opening period and one in the third to take the game.

There were a couple of bright spots for the Kings in the game, but the biggest was goaltender Justin Anderson who made his first start for Dauphin. He stopped 47 of 50 shots he faced and took the loss. His team had 21.

Another bright spot was Dauphin's Penalty Kill, which did not allow a goal against Wednesday.

The busy week for the Kings will continue on Friday when the club heads back out on the road to take on the Natives in Neepawa. Dauphin has three games left before their Christmas break hits next week and sit with a record of 8-25-2 on the season.
