Out in the community and on the ice

It was a busy day for the Dauphin Kings. To start Tuesday, 12 players were at Co-op Gas Bars in Dauphin to help out with Fuel Good Day.

Kaden Bryant, Parker Fofonoff, Jeriah Shantz, Slade Stanick, Tanner Brouwer, and Garrett Hrechka of Dauphin were at the Gas Bar on Main Street.

Cordell Coleman, Owen Wareham, Luke Morris, Braedon Lacomy, Tyson Pauze, and Jayden Jubenvill of Gilbert Plains were at the Mountain Road Gas Bar.

Then at 1:30, the team hit the ice for their daily practice which was full of tempo and pace. Dauphin opens a weekend home-and-home with the Neepawa Titans on Friday night at Credit Union Place.

In their most recent meeting, the Kings won 1-0 with Carson Cherepak earning a 45 save shutout. Luke Morris also scored his second goal in as many games.

In case you missed, it Cherepak is this season’s first Parkland Source for Sports first star of the week while Luke Morris was the second star of the week and Kaden Bryant was the third star of the week.
