

DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings will try to extend their winning streak to five games tonight, but it won't be easy as they host the league's top team in the Steinbach Pistons.
Dauphin is right behind Steinbach when it comes to points but the Pistons have a game in hand coming into this evening's affair.
A month ago the Pistons beat the Kings 4-3 in overtime in Dauphin, not much has changed in the standings since then. Both are atop their respective divisions.
LOTS going on at the rink tonight. Before the game the Kings will announce their third Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries Billet & Volunteer of the Month winners. During the game fans will again have a chance to get their Tractor Lotto Tickets with everyone that buys getting thrown into a draw for a FREE single ticket thanks to Aspen Insurance! This is the second to last game before the Kings Tractor Lotto on December 15th!

TONIGHT'S MATCH UP
KINGS (19-6-1-0)
The Dauphin Kings begin a quick two game home stand when they take on the Pistons tonight. With just five games left before the Christmas break the Kings will look to position themselves well atop the West Division going into the new year.
Schedule wise the Kings will play at home tonight and then Tuesday when they host Waywayseecappo at 7:30pm. The next night they'll go north to play the Norman Blizzard. Then after that it's the Tractor Lotto on Sunday December 15th before one more trip to Norman on Tuesday the 17th.
Dauphin's Penalty Kill was excellent when it needed to be on Tuesday. It's now at 85.4% which is now 3rd overall. On the Power Play side Dauphin is clicking at 24.8%. That's 2nd in the MJHL.
Brandon's Cayden Glover (22G, 10A) remains atop the Kings in points with 32 but Naaman Hofer (4G, 25A) is closing in with 29.


PISTONS (20-4-1-0)
The Steinbach Pistons were the first team to reach the 20 win mark this season. They did that on Wednesday when they took down the Winnipeg Freeze 7-1 in Winnipeg.
The Pistons will be tough to catch when it comes to first place overall in the MJHL. Steinbach has played just eight home games this season and are slated to open up their new 70+ million dollar arena on New Years Eve. At least that's according to their schedule. With almost 20 home games left on their schedule they will be a hard catch late in the season. The Kings go to Steinbach twice in the new year. Their first visit will be on February 7th.
Steinbach ranks 4th in the MJHL on the Power Play (22.5%) while their Penalty Kill is the best in the league at 87.7%.
Jackson Kostiuk (9G, 22A) is atop the Pistons in scoring coming into Saturday's affair. He has 31.
