DAUPHIN, MB - He only played one season in the Blue and White, but he left his mark.

Nicholas Zaharias was third in team scoring with 14 goals and 45 points in the regular season. He missed only one game and made a name for himself with his relentless work ethic and dedication to the crest.

As the Kings' season is over, Zaharias has signed on the dotted line as his hockey career will continue. Nicholas has committed to the Trine University Thunder. A member of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA), the Thunder are coming off a solid season.

They finished conference play with a 12-4-2 record. Including
non-conference play, they went 18-8-2. They advanced to the conference semifinals, where they lost to St. Norbert.

Zaharias made Dauphin's opening night roster after putting up 18 points in 51 games last season with the Connecticut Junior Rangers of the NCDC. Before that, he suited up for the Junior Admirals in Milwaukee.

He scored his first goal as a King in the team's first win of the season against Swan Valley and had five points in his first three games with the team. He had nine multi-point games and then had one assist in four playoff games.
