Nemis Nets Another Game Winner, Kings Up 3-0

DAUPHIN, MB - The Dauphin Kings have pushed the Waywayseecappo Wolverines to the brink of elimination following a 3-2 overtime victory Tuesday night at Credit Union Place.

For the third straight game it was a scoreless opening period.

In the second period it was Dauphin getting on the board first when Matthew Thomas snapped home his second of the playoffs. Wayway would later tie it up but both teams would add another before the second was over. Cayden Glover (2) would tally for the Kings on a loose puck in front.

The third period saw both clubs get some chances but neither could score as both goaltenders stood tall.

The contest went to overtime and guess who scored the game winner, that's right, Gavin Nemis with his third straight game winner of the series put the Kings up 3-0 and one win away from the second round.

Cole Sheffield was again strong, stopping 23 of 25 shots. His team peppered Mariko Bercier with 56 shots.

Power Plays had the Kings finish 0 for 4 while Waywayseecappo was 1 for 2.

The Kings move up to 3-0 and will try to close out this best-of-seven series on Thursday when they go to Waywayseecappo for game four of the set. Game time is 7:30pm.
