Let’s do this again

The Dauphin Kings and Swan Valley Stampeders will play a third straight game against each other on Friday night.

Dauphin’s coming off their fifth-weekend sweep of the season after they completed a comeback last Saturday in a 2-1 shootout win. Kaden Bryant scored the shootout winner in that game and Carson Cherepak was a perfect 3-for-3.

Dauphin enters Friday’s game two points ahead of Waywayseecappo for first place in the MJHL’s West Division. Sitting at 14-4, Dauphin is 12 points ahead of the Stampeders in the standings as they’re 7-9-0-2 this season. That has them in fifth place in the division, which is outside of a playoff spot after 18 games.

The Kings are also tied for second in the league with the Winnipeg Blues, who swept the Steinbach Pistons last weekend. Game time on Friday is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Centennial Arena.
