Kings & Wolverines rematch

Fresh off one of their most impressive performances of the season, the Dauphin Kings are right back at it tonight as they head to Waywayseecappo to play the Wolverines.

Dauphin dispatched Waywayseecappo, 5-1, on Friday. Dauphin won the physical side of the game, played a solid defensive game, and Cole Sheffield was tremendous in net.

The win put Dauphin just two points behind the Wolverines for first place in the West Division and paired with a Neepawa loss, the Kings are now three points up on the Titans.

Dauphin won the only meeting between these two teams at the Arena Complex in a 5-0 victory earlier this season, a game that featured a hat-trick from Mason Smith and Cole Sheffield earned the shutout.

One change in the lineup has Myles Yearwood returning to the projected lineup. In 25 games with Dauphin, the Toronto native has six goals and four assists.

You can watch Saturday’s game on HockeyTV and tune into 730CKDM to listen to the game as Darnell Duff has the call.
