DAUPHIN, MB - For the first time since 2011 the Dauphin Kings are 4-0-0-0 to start the MJHL Regular Season.
The Kings picked up a 3-1 victory over the Neepawa Titans Saturday night at Credit Union Place.
Dauphin controlled the game from start to finish. Captain Ethan Williment (3) opened the scoring in the first period and that was followed by goals from Naaman Hofer (1) & Declan Hoad (1) in the third period.
Cole Sheffield stood tall between the pipes for the Kings despite not having a whole lot on his plate. In the end he turned aside 15 of the 16 shots he faced. His team fired 43 on Neepawa netminder Mason Lobreau, who took second star of the game for his efforts.
Neepawa's penalty troubles continued Saturday. They took five penalties and the Kings made them pay once. Dauphin gave up just one man advantage opportunity in the third period which the Titans scored on.
The Kings continue their season high five game home stand on Tuesday when they welcome the Winkler Flyers to Credit Union Place. Opening face off is slated for 7:30pm and don't forget it's TV Tuesday presented Fusion Credit Union.
