TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

KINGS (26-21-2-0) - 2nd in West

After starting out last week well the Kings have fallen back a little with two straight losses. They have a chance to rebound in a big way this week with two games including a contest at home against Virden on Saturday.

Following Saturday's tilt the Kings will receive a break with six days off between games. After the break the schedule will once again intensify. They'll play seven games in 16 days with five of those tilts coming on the road.

Special Teams enter tonight 8th in the MJHL on the Power Play at 22.2% while the Kings' Penalty Kill is rated 9th at 78.3%.

Matthew O'Sullivan (22G, 18A) & Nicholas Zaharias (13G, 27A) both lead the Kings in scoring coming into tonight with 40 points.

STAMPEDERS (16-25-3-1) - 5th in West

After a horrendous start to the season the Swan Valley Stampeders have a respectable 7-3-0-0 record in their last 10 outings. That effort has helped push Swan Valley a little bit closer to the Playoff Picture but time is now the Stampeders' greatest enemy.

Coming into this evening Swan Valley sits 14 points back of Neepawa for the final playoff spot in the West Division. They have games in hand on all the teams in front of them but just 13 left in the season, so a maximum of 26 points which can get them to 62 points. That means the Kings need five wins or less depending on what the Stampeders do to clinch a playoff spot.

The Stampders' Special Teams have them 6th in the MJHL on the Power Play at 22.9% and 12th on the Penalty Kill at 68.5%.

Ben Groome (12G, 18A) leads the Stampeders in points with 30.
