TONIGHT'S MATCHUP
KINGS (7-2-0-0)
After a tough loss in Winkler on Sunday the Kings get right back to work tonight when they return to Credit Union Place.
It's a three game home stand this week for the Kings. Then after this week they don't return to Dauphin until November 9th when they host Portage. Then the Kings won't be on home ice again until Ag Night on November 21st. So basically after this week the Kings have one home game in almost four weeks.
Dauphin's Special Teams didn't have a great weekend. The Kings' Power Play is now at 24.1% (6th) while their Penalty Kill sits 7th in the league at 85.7%.
Havryil Simchuk (5G, 3A) and Joey Kubas (1G, 7A) both sit atop the Kings in points coming into tonight with eight.
BLIZZARD (2-5-1-0)
After a very slow start the Northern Manitoba Blizzard picked up two wins over the weekend, beating Waywayseecappo two times on home ice. Before those two victories the Blizzard had gone winless to start the 2025-26 campaign.
When it comes to schedules across the MJHL the Blizzard might have the toughest after the Christmas break. Before the Christmas break they are the home team a lot. Tonight's game is just their third on the road, and after tonight the Blizzard return home for five of their next seven in The Pas.
Special Teams have been a mixed bag for the Blizzard so far this season. Their Power Play is ranked second to last in the MJHL at 11.1% while their Penalty Kill is up in 5th at 86.4%.
Justin Whitrow (4G, 2A) leads the Blizzard in points with six so far this season.
