DAUPHIN, MB - It's game two of the Dauphin Kings' season high five game home stand tonight as the club welcomes the Winkler Flyers to Credit Union Place.
Dauphin is looking to extend their four game winning streak to start the regular season, but it won't be easy with the defending league champions coming to town.
The Kings are coming off back-to-back wins over Neepawa on the weekend and will return to play Friday when they entertain Portage.
There'll be lots going on at the rink tonight. The Home Hardware Football Toss goes in the first intermission. Plus the Kings will honour their first of six Billet & Volunteers of the Month before the game.
Opening face off tonight is 7:30pm!
Be sure to follow the Kings on social media throughout tonight's tilt for updates!

TONIGHT'S MATCHUP
KINGS (4-0-0-0)
Dauphin will look to continue their strong start to the season, obviously. In years past it has showed that teams who start off well usually don't have a problem making the post season and the Kings have put themselves in a decent spot so far.
This is game two of Dauphin's season high five game home stand. After tonight they play Portage Friday, the Winnipeg Freeze on Oct. 12 and the Wayway Wolverines on Oct. 13 before heading out on the road.
Dauphin's Special Teams enter tonight 4th in the MJHL on the Power Play side at 30.8% while the group's Penalty Kill is 4th as well at 83.3%.
Cayden Glover (3G, 1A), Naaman Hofer (1G, 3A) & Ty Pratte (4A) lead the Kings in points through four games with four.
FLYERS (1-2-0-0)
Probably not the start the defending league champions were looking for in 2024-25 so you know they'll be going hard for the win tonight in Dauphin. Winkler is 1-2-0-0 through just three contests after losses to Neepawa and Steinbach. Their lone win came against the Pistons.
The Flyers were supposed to play Friday in Waywayseecappo but that game was postponed due to ice issues. After tonight the Flyers begin a four game home stand on Sunday.
Special Teams have Winkler ranked 12th on the Power Play, they have yet to score a goal on the man advantage but have had just four opportunities. Their Penalty Kill is also 12th at 50%, they've allowed three goals against on six opportunities. The Flyers have already scored two shorthanded goals this season.
Kam Thomas (2G, 1A), Jayce Legaarden (1G, 2A), Nicholas Mckee (1G, 2A) &Isaiah Peters (1G, 2A) lead the Flyers with three points each.
