TONIGHT'S MATCHUP
KINGS (24-20-1-0) - 2nd in West
It's the start of a very busy 12 days for the Dauphin Kings. They'll hit the ice for six games, including the most intense part of the stretch which will feature four games in six nights spanning from Friday to next Wednesday.
First, it's a contest with the Northern Manitoba Blizzard, a team the Kings have beat four out of four times this season. Some of the games have been close ones and some have not. Either way it's another very important game for the Kings as they look to stay in second place in the MJHL's West Division. Coming into this evening they're two points ahead of Neepawa with one extra game played.
Special Teams were better in Saturday's win for the Kings. Right now they're 8th in the MJHL on the Power Play at 21.9% and 9th on the Penalty Kill at 77.2%. On the Power Play side just 3% separates the best man advantage in the league from 9th.
Matthew O'Sullivan (20G, 17A) and Nicholas Zaharias (11G, 26A) both lead the Kings in scoring with 37 points.
BLIZZARD (6-32-2-2) - 6th in West
The Dauphin Kings can put the Northern Manitoba Blizzard one step closer to being mathematically eliminated from the MJHL Playoffs. It will be tough for the Blizzard to climb the standings, especially when they have yet to win a game on the road this season. Northern Manitoba is currently 0-17-1-0 away from The Pas in 2025-26.
The schedule is not very friendly for the Blizzard in the second half. After having a home heavy first half of the season NorMan is spending a lot of time away from The Pas. Eight of their final nine games of the season will be on the road.
The Blizzard currently sit with the MJHL's 11th ranked Power Play at 13.8% while their Penalty Kill is very solid, it's 4th at 81.7%.
Jett Fogle (12G, 18A) is leading the Blizzard in points coming into this evening. He has 30.
