TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

KINGS (30-23-2-0) - 2nd in West

With three games left in their season the Kings just need 3 points to wrap up second place in the West Division. Dauphin's 4-3 OT win over Waywayseecappo on Friday night put the Kings three points up on the Wolverines.

Waywayseecappo won't see action until they hit the ice for three games in three nights beginning on Friday. The Kings, meanwhile, play tonight, Tuesday in The Pas against the Northern Manitoba Blizzard and then on Saturday they host their Awards & Rain Check Night against the Winnipeg Blues.

Special Teams were good for the Kings on Friday in Waywayseecappo. They went 1 for 3 on the Power Play, which is now up to 23.1% which is 6th in the league. Dauphin finished 3 for 3 on the Penalty Kill and have given up just one goal against in their last seven games, moving them up to 9th in the MJHL at 79.3%.

Matthew O'Sullivan (23G, 22A) and Ethan Stewart (19G, 26A) are tied for the Kings lead in points with 45. Stewart has been one of Dauphin's best players as of late and comes into this evening on an 11 game point streak (8G, 11A). He also has a goal in four straight contests.

OIL CAPITALS (34-13-3-2) - 1st in West

The Virden Oil Capitals have a very busy schedule in their final week of the regular season. Virden has to play six games over the next nine days. Four of them are on home ice and two are on the road. They're coming off a 5-0 win over Northern Manitoba last night at home.

The Oil Capitals have really no where to go when it comes to the West Division. They will finish first, but points are still valuable as they look to stay ahead of Winkler and Portage with the crossover still in play for the second round of the MJHL Playoffs and could determine more home ice advantage if there's an upset or two in the first round.

Special Teams see the Oil Capitals 5th in the MJHL on the Power Play at 23.9% and 6th on the Penalty Kill at 80.4%.

Bryce Bryant (28G, 49A) is second in MJHL scoring with 77 points.
