TONIGHT'S MATCHUP

KINGS (12-6-1-0)

After two wins on the road over the weekend the Kings will try to gain some momentum into another important weekend. After tonight in Swan River Dauphin comes home to host the Steinbach Pistons for Ag Night on Friday. Then they'll go to Winnipeg on Sunday to play the Blues.

Coming into this evening the Kings are first in the MJHL's West Division. Virden was scheduled to play last night but 'due to unforeseen circumstances' their game with the Steelers in Selkirk was not played and postponed. Dauphin is one point up on the Oil Capitals.

Special Teams have Dauphin's Power Play now at 23.8% which is 3rd in the MJHL. Their Penalty Kill is 80.3%, that has them 6th overall.

Havryil Simchuk (9G, 11A) and Nicholas Zaharias (6G, 14A) lead the Kings in points. Both have 20.

STAMPEDERS (6-14-1-0)

The season continues to be a bit of a struggle for the Swan Valley Stampeders. They come into this evening four points out of a playoff spot with over one third of their games played. They've also lost four of their last five outings.

The Stampeders are kicking off a short two game home swing tonight. They'll actually play six of their final nine games before the Christmas break on home ice. A chance to bump up a little in the standings.

Swan Valley's Special Teams are both in the bottom half of the MJHL. Power Play wise the Stampeders are 9th at 21.7% while their Penalty Kill is second to last at 70.2%.

Ethan MacTavish (11G, 7A), Riley Fequet (7G, 11A) and Gavin Bartha (4G, 14A) are atop the Stampeders scoring lead with 18 points each.
